Power tools for a region buying water and food security

The Gulf and Iraq buy construction tools for the same reasons as everybody else. What makes the region different is that the largest and fastest-growing demand is agricultural — and it is driven by government policy on water and food self-sufficiency rather than by private demand alone.

What that means for the range you open with

Water efficiency is the product, not the pump

Irrigation equipment in this region is bought against a water budget. A buyer comparing two pumps is really comparing litres per watt-hour and hours of running per day. Come with flow, head and power draw worked out, and the conversation shortens considerably.

Livestock drives the consumable categories

The region runs camels, sheep, goats, cattle and large poultry operations. That is shearing and clipping equipment, feed preparation and handling, and the consumables that repeat every season — which is a better business than one-off capital sales.

Conformity is a platform, not a certificate

Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iraq each run their own conformity scheme, and each has a specific way of applying for it. The importer owns the application; we supply the technical file and make the goods available for inspection. The scheme names differ per country, which is why each country has its own page here.

Where to start, by country

Three markets, three different clearance routes, three different buying patterns. The UAE is the regional re-export base; Saudi Arabia is the largest domestic agricultural programme; Iraq is the reconstruction market.

Saudi Arabia

230 V, 60 Hz, Type G. The largest domestic programme in the region, with a documented push on agricultural self-sufficiency.

United Arab Emirates

220–240 V, 50 Hz, Type G. Jebel Ali is the region's re-export hub, and a large share of what lands there does not stay there.

Iraq

230 V, mixed Type C, D and G. Reconstruction demand plus agricultural work along the Tigris and Euphrates, and power that is often locally generated.

Sourcing, clearance and payment — the boring part that decides the order

Every country runs its own conformity scheme

Saudi Arabia uses the SABER platform, the UAE runs ECAS, and Iraq requires a certificate of conformity issued through an appointed inspection body. In each case the application in the destination country is the importer's, and the technical file is ours: test reports, rating-plate data, model and voltage declaration, and production photographs.

Because these schemes differ in when the inspection happens and who pays for it, we cover each one on its own country page rather than generalising here.

Trade terms and payment

We ship FOB Shenzhen, Ningbo or Yiwu, so you own the freight contract and the bill of lading is in your name. If you want CIF or delivered pricing we introduce you to forwarders we work with, who contract with you directly.

Payment is T/T — a deposit against the confirmed order, balance before shipment — confirmed in writing on every order. We do not publish prices, because a tool price means nothing without a quantity, a configuration and a port.

One thing worth knowing before you ask. We are a trading and export company, not a factory. We buy from vetted Chinese manufacturers and export under our own brand and yours. In this region, where buyers routinely ask for direct factory access, we would rather say that on the first page than in the third email.

What we need from you to quote

  • The models or categories, and a target quantity
  • The destination country and port or land border
  • The plug type and voltage your market uses
  • Whether a conformity certificate applies, and who is applying
  • Whether the goods stay in the country or are re-exported
  • Your brand name and logo file, for a private-label order
  • Retail packaging requirements, if any
  • Your delivery window, and whether Arabic documentation is needed

Arabic enquiries are answered in Arabic. The order process is on how to order, and the inspection behind it on quality control.
