What this model is for
A horizontal paddle mixer built for batch blending of ground grain with protein concentrate, minerals and additives. Horizontal mixing reaches a uniform ration far faster than a vertical screw mixer, which matters as soon as the ration contains anything measured in small quantities — a premix or a medication that has to be spread evenly through the batch. Discharge is by a full-width gate, so the batch empties without leaving a heel behind to contaminate the next one.

How many batches a day will I need?
Divide the kilograms of finished feed you need per day by the batch size, and allow for the loading and discharge time as well as the mixing time. Most buyers find that a smaller mixer run more often gives a fresher ration than a large mixer run once.
Can it handle a medicated premix?
That is precisely what the horizontal design is for. A vertical screw mixer can leave a pocket of concentrated premix at the bottom of the cone, which is a real problem with medication. Tell us the smallest inclusion in your ration and we will confirm the mixing time needed to spread it evenly.
